1983 D Cent with a number 2 beside the Date ?

    Sorry, No. The damage on damaged coins can look like just about anything you can imagine, which is generally what you think you see. It's actually just your imagination seeing something you want to see.
    I'm sorry but that's really just the way it is.

    I see an "S" and a "5"

    or if I stare even longer I can make anything out of it I want to think it is.
    Since I'm looking at numbers it can be a number. If I go off and look at letters, then it can look like letters. Designs? Alien markings ... Egyptian hieroglyphs .. no problem?

    Sometimes miscellaneous shapes appear to look like something.
