    Been collecting odd or old coins for last 10 years of pocket change but I never looked under magnification or bought the red book or checked web until recently I started going through the coins ive been saving so sorry about my amature questions/posts I try not to post too many. Thanks CT

    I believe that coin was on the top of a roll. That was what caused the round mark I assume. Maybe I am wrong.

    Even when you zoom in on 8,s and 9,s in date also wierd marks under shoulder on rim

    I am really positive in general! I really WANT to see things. And I do wish that this is something. But I believe its just mechanical. Please get closer and more clear pictures to help yourself more. Wait for others to state their opinions. Wish you a good hunting!

    What you have is considered DDD - Die Deterioration Doubling. It's a worn die strike.

    Sorry but it has nothing to do with a true doubled die and considered worthless doubling.

    Worth only 1 Cent
    Keep you questions over at the Error Coins forum. What's It Worth would be more for precious metals and rarities.
