James Monroe Dollar Coin Exchange

I went to the coin exchange today at Ash Lawn Highlands. It was very cool. There was a class there and the same re-enactor was there from the Jefferson coin exchange, down to the hat and outfit. It was funny. He looks more like Jefferson than Monroe for sure.

I'm sorry I didn't bring my camera. But, I got a roll of Monroe. Nice looking coin.

My bank won't release the Monroe Dollar until this Friday. I wonder why the release date varies from bank to bank?

SunTrust has them today. I'm going to pick up a few rolls in a little bit.

 

I got mine today. Indiana got D mints again.

I love how the relief on his face causes very interesting reflections. It is a nice coin in person. The pictures do not do it justice!

 

Got mine an hour ago. Not sure of the mintage didn't open them.
