$25.00 = 50 rolls of pennies 50 rolls of pennies = 2500 pennies 5% of 2500 pennies = 125 pennies 2017-P pennies = 125 Me = sick of seeing them
I have used the "trade" forum to get exchanges of rolls "D" for "P" , for the local coin club members, using the small flat rate postal box. Jim
Northeast here - P coins are the rule. D pennies are uncommon, even in instances where the Denver output was greater than the Philly. D nickels, dimes, and quarters will turn up after a couple of years. I just assume that pennies don't travel far from their point of release. They go from the mint to distributors to banks to business to people's pockets... who then take them home and put them in a jar until they need cash or the jar is filled. I lived briefly in the bay area and do remember seeing the occasional S penny in my change, but I wasn't collecting that point so only occasionally checking pocket change. How common are S coins (not counting impaired proofs) in CA and the west coast in general?
