Can anyone point me in the right direction to look for round air-tites for a Braided Hair cent (27.5mm) and a 2-Cent piece (23mm)? Perhaps my list of suppliers is deficient. I've tried Wizard, Coin Supply Express, Transline, and Littleton so far but none have appropriately sized capsules. I need direct-fits and can't use the 2"x2" sturdy plastic cases because the encapsulated coins will eventually go into a display case with pre-cut round openings. Thank you all, as always, for your help.
Appreciate the link. Just checked - no dice. But thanks anyway! Maybe I'll have to settle for the next size up and live with a little jiggle.
Yes, use larger size airtites mentioned above. But then add an inner black ring to give you the closer fit. https://www.air-tites.com/air-tite-rings-only.html#.XFpudi3MxmA
Great idea, thanks. But I'm afraid it won't work in my case. You see, I need to fit the coins into a nice wooden box (Collection of 19th Century U.S. coins) that I was given. The box has pre-cut holes which provided minimal allowance for encapsulated coins (just slightly bigger than the coins themselves). I might have to manually alter the sizes of the holes - but I'm leaving that as a last resort. By the way - for your coin shown, what's the 10th anniversary of? Just curious.
