    Can't believe all of the town names (and villages) are plotted, along with major roads, rivers, and other landforms. Pretty cool!

    This is a great work. If I could ask one upgrade it would be a timeline on which the user could click displaying only places active at that time labelled with the name current at that time. The information is listed on the detailed page for cities.

    That's a really nice and interesting map. I would also like to see the above comments incorporated. It would also be nice if the scale zoomed with the map. If this is done in GIS and still in progress they should be able to add linked details and data for towns and other attributes.

    That is already very interesting and I expect we can look forward to more and more detail with with street views of whatever remains, much like "google maps for the ancient world."
