hello everyone, I apologize If I posted this in the wrong forum. I just inherited some coins from a relative and I’m curious If others think they’re real or fake. I’m no expert I am pretty sure this one is fake. Thanks in advance!
Welcome to the site! You came to the right place. Unfortunately, that coin is 100% fake. If it were real, it would have relatively sharp details and a different color and overall look. Feel free to post other coins that you inherited though, and we can help out with those too.
First, welcome to the neighborhood @Victoria Dempsey ! When taking photos, it's best to place the coin on a flat, well-lit surface. For optimum results, you should also crop out the unnecessary background and then resize the image. After doing that, you should select "Full Image" when posting your photo. The "Thumbnail" option sucks. Chris PS. This forum or US Coins is fine.
