help on ID of Medieval coin

    I acquired this unidentified small coin out of a junk box. A thought is that it might be Hungarian Medieval. It is 8 mm and 0.12 gm silver. I would appreciate any guesses, suggestions or factual info and a reference if possible.

    Could well be Hungarian, 11th or 12th century.

    Hello Postumus, I believe your coin to be an 11th c. Hungarian denar, probably of king András I (more information and image source here). It once looked like this or similar but has been heavily clipped:
