It is a shame but I would take some solace in thinking this could have happened to the coin 100 years ago. What is for sure a shame is when you recently find what otherwise would have been a BU 1968-D cent in a parking lot but had been run over; same for what was otherwise an EF+ 1950-S cent that was found a few months ago. A lot of people in society tend to be careless morons by their very nature and couldn't care less about what coin they just dropped in the parking lot or street, unfortunately.

A shame yes but still cool. I’d have it in my collection. Nice find

I always fight myself when I find something like this. Throw it back into the wild or keep it for myself!:??

I'd keep it... Alot of life it's been through. How ever bad it is its old and I would keep it.. it's just me though. I don't have a 1910.

I don’t have a 1910 either. To find one in a roll regardless of condition I would keep it. If another came along in better condition I would replace but retain it.
