1994 d lincoln not sure whats up

    this penny looks as if it was hit with a welder . but that doesn't explain how the mint mark got over the hole or the split rim I know im a newbe but this is a tough one,i dp4.jpg dp3.jpg dp2.jpg dp.jpg dp1.jpg have looked cant find an answer thanks for any help

    There was no hole in the spot where the Mint Mark is located. You have a Copper Plated Zinc Cent where the plating has been compromised.. just Zinc Rot and the hole appeared afterwards. This is due to Environmental Damage.
    Everything else is also damage to the Copper plating.
