mystery D letter on 1980 penny

    hello an a good day to u guys!!

    I need help figuring this out.
    I found this weird looking penny.
    I know is copper because it weights 3.14 grams and it’s not fake. Can someone please find out what type of error this is?

    You need better pictures than that!

    So far it might be D for Damaged.

    Better pictures might change it to a small Die Break or CUD

    It's a copper penny. They're mostly that way before 1982.

    The "D" you think you see just kinda looks like a D but is from damage.
