just wondering if its worth picking up those white cotton gloves for handling raw coins, or is it ok to use powder free latex gloves???

I go with the cotton gloves, friend. whenever I go to check out a painting I am considering, the curator insists i wear cotton gloves and not latex.. must be something in the latex.

Get the glove for sure. Also do yourself a favor and always work over a table top with a folded towel or soft surface. The point being if you drop the coin you don't want it to hit the floor, specially proofs.

    Keep on Collecting!!!

Cotton gloves absolutely!!! walterallen's suggestion about working over a soft surface is a great idea too. And even with cotton gloves, its probably a good idea to hold the coin by the edge.
