1987 D nickel after strike fold

I am not finding any information on what caused this or what the value might be. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance. grh

Sir.. I told you what you have in the last thread you created on the same Nickel.
Did you read it?
It's a folded over Retained Lamination error.

Value is whatever a Mint Error collector is willing to pay for it.. Don't think hundreds or thousands though.

Very fine example of a folded over retained lamination error. Worth a few extra dollars but you're not going to retire on it.
