1959 P steel Lincoln Memorial Cent

    I Have in my possession a steel cent dated in 1959 with Philadelphia MM. the Rim has been double stamped over the “L” in liberty. Is this a real thing? (Yes I picked it up with a magnet haha).

    Even without a picture, there is a very high probability that you have a plated cent. Plating cents has been a common science experiment done in chemistry classes for years. It is not a mint error and has no additional value. Sorry
