Hi all, Went to the bank. Bought a roll of Halves. This is what I got!!!!! Christmas in February!!! Ok, turned out to be a boring 1945-S, but kinda made my day.
I found my first franklin, but I had to go through well over a 100 rolls to find it. I get about 10 rolls per month.
Some little old lady rolled up her coins because she had no other source to pay for her needs in this out of control economy! Nice find for you..but what a shame it was for the person who suffered the last resort! Education is always the key! If she only knew it was silver! RickieB

THIS makes me mad. I went to almost every bank in my city, and all I found was a Kennedy half dollar!
Halves? Your bank has halves? All I get are blank stares when I ask for rolls of halves. I'm not sure the tellers even know they exist.
After seeing everyone's postings about their latest half dollar finds, it got me all fired up. So this past Friday and Saturday I went around to many of my local banks buying up all the half dollar rolls. Unfortunately, I was one step behind someone else who was doing the same thing. So this is how it turned out. Initial Investment = $150 Found 20 silver halves! Here was the breakdown. 2 Franklin Halves - 57D & 58D 3 90% Silver Kennedy 15 40% Silver Kennedy The biggest hit I had was 5 silver in one roll! = 1 90% and 4 40%. Thank you everyone for getting me fired up about searching for halves again! :thumb: Where has your biggest successes been - In treasury wrapped rolls or Individual wrapped rolls? Thanks.
