Well guy's last evening I posted a 1891 Treasury Note with Stantons vignet...my friend called me back and said he just received a "Special New York" note that I might be interested in....
Well I removed the 1891 from the post and I am very pleased to post this note as it's replacement!

The 1918 New York $2 Battleship in PMG64!!:D:D This note is by far the best note in my collection and I hope to add a few others as this year passes.I am thrilled to have it and grateful to my friend for calling me on it.

What a beautiful note....I will post better pics when I receive it. Ihope you enjoy this as much as I do...

    Very best regards,

    RickieB

    Darryl and Phoenix...

You can not believe how excited I am to have this note...thank you for your remarks.
I am a little poorer right now but I think it was well worth it. In 20 yrs or so from now I hope it brings excitement to my Son and it helps him in what ever he needs.

Thank you for taking a look.

    Regards,

    RickieB

RickieB, that one note has been an apple in my eye for YEARS! well, that series and design .. not THAT specific note :D I do have one, but nothign compared to yours! That is just stunning! That reverse vingette is one of the largest, and most detailed of them all (barring the 1896 education series which were pure artwork) and of course, one fo the absolute best! Just beautifull RickeiB, just beautiful!

    wrucmike Who's the Man?

This note was backed by bank holdings of US Treasury Certificates (an obligation on an obligation). These are different than silver or gold certificates, which were backed by coin.

Man that's a sharp looking note - I love the vigettes on the early 20th century notes. Congrats RickieB!
