I did look back through 7 or so pages of threads and didn't see this, so hopefully it's not a duplicate. Here is my wish list for the new year: What's on your wish list?
Well, this wasn't on my wish list for this year, but I found this at a coin show, at a price I couldn't pass up. Wish it didn't have a crater over part of the date (1787), but there is good detail in the rest of the piece.
Hmm, good question. A '24, '25, '27 &/or '34 "S" minted Peace Dollars that meet my eye appeal. I'd also like to continue my self education on the Bust Half series. I never thought I'd like heavily circulated coins, but in this series, an evenly worn coin with original skin appeals to me. Like this one. 1814 by JPeace$ posted Jan 27, 2019 at 9:20 AM 1814 reverse by JPeace$ posted Jan 27, 2019 at 9:20 AM
The last coin I can afford for my type set. A 1796 Draped Bust/Small Eagle Reverse. First attempt to purchase will be at the Baltimore Whitman Show on March 1.
I told myself that this year I would stop purchasing all the random gold I ran across and hold out for a Charlotte and/or a Dahlohega struck example. Three weeks into the year and I have already purchased two old random gold coins. Not holding to my goal very well.
After the Fargo coin show this past weekend, I am now five coins away from finishing my WLH short set. That is what I will focus on this year, though there are other coins on my "wish list". Those will just have to wait until next year.
