Has anyone ever seen this before? I found it in my tube of 20 3rd from the bottom. I am not sure where to go with this.
Any comments welcome! Thoughts? I am definitely new to coin collecting, and thought this worthy of sharing.
    Thank you

Not sure what that is but it reminds me of when someone spits out their dip. I wouldn't say it is an error.

It has been stained. It's damage and not a mint error.

Who ever sold you the tube of coins most likely knew that it was in there. Being 3rd from the bottom is a great place to put it . Out of sight out of mind!! I suppose there is a slight chance the seller missed this . Too bad that really damaged the coin. Maybe there is some way of cleaning this but different member will have to advise on this.

I can't get a good picture of it, but on the rim it has a small crack. Thank you for you reply, I appreciate it. I did take it back to where I purchased it, and the owner took one look and said "I want that coin" I will give you 20 bucks for it, and it may be worth 80. ??

Well he said he wants the coin, not sure why.

If he really wants it and has offered you $20, you should counter with $50.
Come to an agreement of $30 to $35 and you are getting the better of the deal and a nice profit.
He can then try to sell it for the $80 he thinks it's worth.
