I found this old Canadian dime while metal detecting one of the older homes in the city where I live. Other than it being 138 years old, is there anything special about it? Greg
Well let me see if I can help you here., Mintage is 1.6 Million, this one is the narrow variety. Graded VF but cleaned Net F Retail value is about $60.00 Hope this helps.
Thank you Jim, Getting an informed opinion only adds to the thrill of being able to pull something like out of the ground. I do appreciate it, Greg

Here's sort of a bummer,...that vertical scratch below her ear....I think I did that with my blunt probe. I've changed my extraction technique since then. Live and learn, Greg
Jim M/Jhonn, I'm about 25 miles SW of Ann Arbor and 25 miles NW of Toledo, OH. I live in small town of 8000 called "Tecumseh" I was quite surprised myself when it came out of the ground. The home originally belonged to Consider A. Stacy, a prominent civic leader and Judge. I also found a silver college class ring from by the walk going to the front door. It was from then called "Eastern Normal" college...today known as Eastern Michigan University. I gave it to the property owner and the Mrs. had a jeweler size the band and she wore it. The class was 1908 if I remember correctly. I have been able to return several class rings to their rightful owners. Greg
Tecumseh.. I know the area a little. If I remember correctly lots and lots of corn.. and home to Tecumseh Harley. Not far from Cabelas and MIS..
