Hello everybody, Here i have an 1805 cent which shows a curious defect or peculiarity at the "O" of ONE in the reverse. It is unusual because the O looks like a mirror image letter D. I though this was due to damage/hit to the letter O, displacing the sides of the O inward. But now on closer look it does not appear to be due to damage. Can anybody offer some comments on this? Weight and size are all OK, so i am fairly sure the coin is legit, it also looks right. Nice surfaces, with some hits before the nose on the obverse. Even brown colour. What could this be? Thanks and regards, Eduard
Oh well, and i thought i had a new, never before recorded, R-7 die variety, population 1. BUT, the L and I Goldberg auction ends tomorrow, and they have plenty of nice rare large cents! Thank you guys, Eduard
