    DEFDAM - Definitely Damaged :yack:

What is referred to as Road Rash or Parking Lot coin. It's a Copper Plated Cent that was run over by cars and scratched up by the pavement. It's zinc core is exposed in some places.

    Waste of a 2x2

I know many new posters are just starting out,
for various reasons, from various sources, to
    check their pocket change.

I'm still just a bit surprised that even novice
or newer collectors can't tell what this cent,
or quarters posted, are simply damaged.

When you see a dent in a car, (or more than a few
dents, on this cent, for example) do you automatically
believe it's part of the body shape that came out
of the factory? No, you know it's obvious damage.......
    like the coins posted -

Take it out of the 2x2 and spend that damaged cent.

Now that you know what it is, keep it as a reference when you're coin hunting.

Actually, it is an error, but it's an error because it's a zinc clad cent...& there are billions of them out there! :D Still worth a cent though!:smuggrin::smuggrin:
