Hey guys, I have recently gotten into collecting after my grandparents passed and I inheraed our old coin collection and it interested me to the point that I want to get into collecting again and soon dealing when I acquire adiquate knowledge. Anyway I was hoping you guys could help me on which peace dollars I should send in if any to pcgs for grading. Let me know if the pictures aren't good enough I can put singles on. Thank you so much to anyone that stops by to help! Also I have a handful of Morgan's I have the same question for let me know if anyone can help me with those as well!

IMHO, none are worth sending in, because the cost of the grading will be more than 50% of the value of the coin. In general, I wouldn't pay to have any Peaces graded other than the 1921-P, 1928-P, or a very high-grade coin (at least MS-65). But there are others with far more experience than I have here.

If that one is a 28 it looks like it might be VF. If it is it would be worth grading. Better pictures are needed.

Don't forget a '34-S in AU and up.

Looked like a 28-S to me, if the pic order is consistent from left to right.

For some reason it looked like a 23 to me, so I decided to check it out.

None are worth the costs of grading. Welcome to CT.

The Peace Dollar is one of my favorite designs. If it a series you want to collect/deal, I suggest getting "A Guide Book to Peace Dollars" by Roger Burdette. It will help you learn about the series. You'll also be able to identify when a Peace Dollar is worth sending to a TPG. You can find the book at Wizard Coin Supply. They are a great company for Numismatic items such as books, coin albums, magnifiers, etc.

Personally, none of the coins you posted are worth the cost to grade. I'm not saying they don't have value, especially since they came from your grandfathers collection, they just aren't worth the cost to submit and get graded. You won't get any return on that investment.

Maybe you know this: Grading is only one reason to submit your coins.

    You also get:
-- authentication (genuine, not a fake)
-- verified unmolested (not cleaned, not damaged... not a "details" coin)
-- optional variety attribution, conservation, photos
-- sealed protection in a plastic slab
-- easier to sell your coins
    -- test your grading skills

You can learn a lot if you grade your coins before you submit your coins. Simply compare your coins with Peace Dollar Photogrades...

Probably not worth the expense to submit your coins to NGC or PCGS.

Instead, consider the ANACS $10/coin Special (10-coin minimum, return shipping is extra).

That's what I did with a bunch of Morgan & Peace dollars I inherited. Submitted the nicest 20 or so to ANACS.

Eventually sold most of 'em on 2016 on ebay.

This above special ANACS price expires Jan 31st. Don't panic; sometimes they extend the deadline. Anyway, if history is any indication, ANACS will offer this pricing a few more times this year.

    Edit: For correctness and photo.
