Recommendation Needed

I'm new at this myself but my 9 year old grandson all of a sudden is now interested in coins.

I'm giving him a small envelope of 50 coins in 50 countries and a Condor Box coin album. Since he is 9 years old I don't know how serious this will be in the next few years.

I need a Recommendation for a book that will be appropriate for his age. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I don't think you can go wrong with this book. I was about your grandson's age when i started collecting, I'm 40 now, it's been a lifelong addiction.

 

Do you think this would be appropriate for his age (9) ?

 

The Red Book. I know I had a copy at 10.

 

I second the Redbook. I was ten when I got mine. I loved it so much I still have it!

 

I third the Red Book. Make sure you buy a spiral bound one in big print. I think for a 9 year old, they'd be more interested in all the pictures, etc.
