Canadian Dime Assessment

    So I found this dime in my change jar, and noticed that it looked a little off. When I compared it to other dimes, like the one shown in the pictures (left), I noticed that the dime in question was a bit faded compared to one made even a few years before it. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the side with the queen's head was a bit flatter, and that the overall thickness of the dime was smaller.
    Is this a common case of wear and tear or should I look into it more?

    Here's the kind of Canadian Dimes you want to look for. Canadian Dimes prior to 1968 were 80% Silver - in 1967-68 they switched to 50% Silver. Some of these happen to be nicely toned.
