has any one had any dealings with chattanooga coins i saw a add for 6 pounds of wheat cents pluss other goodies and was wondering about the quality of the coins they sold thanks for any advice in advance rick.

Never heard of them. However, if I were you I would avoid all such deals unless you actually could inspect what you would be getting. Note there are numerous individuals that purchase bags, boxes, etc of Wheat Cents, go through them, resell as UNSEARCHED coins. Then too some individuals that have amazed hugh amounts just make themselves company and resell all the junk stuff. Never buy anything sight unseen.

i have had dealings with them in the past - nothing major - but was satisfied. I bought some smaller items, way over priced, but cheap enough for me to get over it. I still get their magazines and papers every once in a while. They are good reading material and a source of what not to pay.

 

So is Detroit Edision the metro Detroit electric company Wonder what they did that was so bad lol

 

Looks like every other business in the country is on that list as well.

I can tell you that they are very aggressive buyers of wheat cents for their programs. They pay really strong numbers from other dealers. I have sold to them, but never purchased from them.

FWIW, a pound of wheat cents is usually just a little over 3 rolls.

 

you end up paying an exorbitant amount for "unsearched" wheats. 7.5 to 8 cents when they are probably only paying on average 2.5 to 3 cents which is what most dealers pay for bulk crap coins. Guaranteed you're not going to find 09-s 09-s vdb 14-d or 31-s in those mixes, even after paying outrageous prices

 

to be honest, if it is being sold by them...you will probably be paying too much. i only base this on the catalogs which i have seen. flashy w/ no substance. prices were high and descriptions vague. this is simply my own opinion as i have not dealt w/ them personally.

 

Hi wvrick, I would suggest you use them as a guide for the highest price and buy elsewhere. I have been getting their catalog for about 10 yrs as a reference. They have some good articles.......
Go to a local shop and ask for the junk box and search it...
