If you buy 1000 uncleaned coin what do you do with the coins that
    you can't ID.

    rickmp Frequently flatulent.

Jesus would have hated that cross.

If the photo did not have so much motion, I suspect some could be IDed by some here but these do look like why we don't suggest buying by the thousand.

It was made before I found cointalk. Took almost two years to get them cleaned, but it was fun.

Welcome again to CoinTalk @Silver Rider.

Only two years to clean 1000 coins less these? That was very fast. It takes me months to clean a few coins working on them at the same time. I am sure I don't have enough life left in me to clean 1000 coins.

Would love to see some of your successfully cleaned ancient coins.

Silver Rider, Before I opened your thread I expected to see something like this, see photos below. This is the famous Wilton Cross in the British Museum, a Byzantine gold cross set with a solidus of Heraclius & his young son, AD 613-641. The front of the cross is inset with garnets & oddly shows the coin upside down o_O. The back side of the cross is undecorated. I wish their staff would remove those distracting numbers . I joined CoinTalk last year & have found it a rewarding experience & hope you do also.
