Hey Hdepjr, you do realize that ear rings were never and are never put on Lincoln cents, don't you? The absolute truth is that your coin has a lot of just plain damage on it. That circle at the bottom of Lincoln's ear is just a hit from something that happened to leave a round mark at the bottom of the ear. That is not a mint error of any kind. The bad news is that your penny is truly only worth 1 cent. The good news is that you have a cool, odd looking penny that you can put in your Oddities Box and when your friends come over, pull it out and do Show and Tell. In reality, the true value of this coin is being able to use it to share a laugh with family and friends. Don't get discouraged, friend. Don't give up looking. Thanks for the info, When found the circle below the ear , l said this is a keeper regardless. By the way I they don't put bandaid on his eye ,but take a look at the picture . What you think?
