Now that my CRHing is basically nil, I decided to go back through my big book of finds and take pictures of some of the more interesting ones. These are the ones I did today. Thanks for looking! 1960D RPM 001 1971P DDO 001 with MAD obverse 1972 DDO 002 1972 DDO 003 1995 DDO1 1979P Lamination 198_ Grease Filled Die. Whatcha think @paddyman98 @Rick Stachowski @SlipperySocks @Seattlite86 ?
Dang @furryfrog02 ! That '79 Foldover is so cool! If it were mine, I'd submit it for grading just to protect it. You don't have to go overboard with NGC or PCGS. That error would sell itself in an ANACS or ICG as well. Chris
He's protected in a 2x2 flip in my book haha. I have yet to send any coins in for grading. I probably should at some point but I don't think most of my stuff is worth the money.
Check with some of the other members (via another thread) and see if ANACS or ICG are running any grading specials. @Insider ? Chris
I'm pushing close to 2 million cents searched. I'd have to look at my notebook to know for sure. I have every box/bag/loose roll documented. Kinda weird like that lol.
Yup. I've never paid more than face value for any of my currently circulating coins. It's one of the only ways my wife is ok with my hobby lol.
Those are some great coins! ANACS has it's Dollars and Cents Special going on, but it ends Jan 31. 10 coins for $10 each. http://www.anacs.com/contentPages/Specials/DollarsandCentsSpecial.aspx
Correct. IF you have the variety already attributed, (example: from Welxer) and the paperwork, they will wave the extra fee if you send the paperwork with it. If it's an easy attribution: like your 1995 DDO1, it's $9 extra. IF they have to research it, add another $12. There are also other add ons, like preservation and cleaning if it needs it.
At Anacs it is an up charge depending on it they look up the Variety ,or you tell them by giving them the FS number etc... But I will no longer deal with Anacs as I paid for 10 coins to be graded, 10 to be variety marked on the label. ..and several I was told aren't a variety. 2 of which were 38 D/S or D/D and were sent back with no variety at all! As some of you at recall I sort of got a few members here interested in the 38 D /D/S duh! So I won't use Anacs any longer!
