Australian penny and sixpence combined.

    I picked up this amongst a bunch of other coins the other day. I can see clearly it is a 1951 Australian Sixpence set into a 1923 Australian penny - but does anybody know what it signifies or why it was done? If there were some advertising included it would make more sense to me.

    I don't know the significance, but I something similar - a 43 AUS 3 pence in the center of a AUS half penny.

    It's pretty cool how the Sixpence fits perfectly inside the circle of the Penny..
