So yeah... I was just wondering your input on these guys. I paid $3 for the 1912, which the dealer graded at an unfair grade of fine+. The 1927 was $7, and he gave it a very fine -. the 1912 gets a very fine + from me, and the 1927 gets a fine + from me. Both have lots of original luster, and the '12er is amazing to look at. So... Input, as well as an aprox. value?
I think your dealer had both coins about right. Neither are worth grading though both are great type set coins nice circulated examples.
i would say vf on the merc and it is hard to tell on the barber without see the liberty f/vf, but both looked cleaned or it just might be your pic?
My camera is horrible, they actually look nice in real life. The liberty on the barber is all there, you just can't see it in the picture.
The merc looks right for vf and if you have a full liberty on the barber it should grade fine. They do look cleaned though from what I can see.
They could be, but when they were out of the cases, they didn't feel cleaned. It has a 'real luster' look. I like em a lot.
