Would lik CM190120-175538002.jpg CM190120-175619004.jpg e any info pertaining to this coin as what type of error it may be. I recently found this coin while coin roll hunting a box of pennies. Would like to -edit- know more about it. I do realize this coin is one of a kind but would look at any and all offers.

Not an error. Glue or some other residue. Just junk.

Edit: You also shouldn't be soliciting offers to buy/sell/trade in the regular forums. Read the rules.

    As stated..
It's not a Mint Error. It's not rare.
    Just dried adhesive :yack:

You're right, you got me I didn't read the rules. But such is my luck, I didn't realize that this was a children's page either. So I do have to apologize for that also. But yeah thanks for your inputs now if you could just let your parents have there phone back will get back to the business at hand. I should have been a little more specific, not sure if this is a die grease error or brokerage. Thanks again.

Well aren't you just the friendliest person around?...
Your question has been answered. Whether you decide to take that answer and move forward or not is up to you. One thing I do know for sure though, you won't be getting any more help from me.

Glue - as mailed in a promo envelope for some product or company.

If not that, it's still glue from something - it did not leave the US Mint like that.

I thought maybe the same thing but it's definitely not any kind of adhesive and it did definitely leave the mint like this. A lot more detail can be seen under magnification but wasn't able to blow it up with this phone.

BTW before I go... the guy who answered before me is one of the top error dealers in the world. When the certification companies aren’t sure, he’s the guy they send the coin to. He’s also a heck of a nice person.

You might be smarter than me, but not smarter than Fred.

So don’t go telling us that your buddy’s friend knows a coin shop that says we are all wrong. It won’t make you any friends here.

I do know who he is, I sent pictures to him first but also explained that the coin really needed to be viewed under magnification. It's not any type of adhesive but at the risk of insulting anyone else I just assume stop with the arguements. I do apologize but only for lack of reading the rules, not of anyone else's ignorance. Thank you.

IMO, after that remark you might want to find another coin forum to play on.
You didn't earn any respect here, and it's only your first day.

No, it’s glue that dried. Sorry to burst your bubble. Why can you see so much detail underneath? Turns out glue is often translucent. And since you still haven’t read the rules, this is a kid friendly environment, not a kid forum. That means our conduct and writing should reflect that. You haven’t bothered to know the first thing about the minting process, or you’d already know this didn’t happen at the mint. Here’s a question you need to find out the answer to: what happens to a coin when it is struck through something? How do the details of the coin look? Are they sharp?

That’s an easy question, why don’t you give a try answering it.

I’m still waiting on your answer for what’s happens to a coin and it’s details when it is struck through something? Are the details sharp?
