This isn't really new but I just came across it. I just wanted to share because I like how the llama/alpaca is raised pretty highly off the surface of the coin. It's unusual. 1967 Peru 1 sol de oro (side note: Sun of gold/golden sun is a pretty cool name for a unit of money).
That animal is actually a vicuna, a smaller wild relative of llamas and alpacas, and known for having the finest fleece of any mammal. During the Incan age, only royalty were allowed to wear vicuna wool garments. I think that they are all technically owned by the Peruvian government and rounded up once a year for shearing and tagging of the babies. They are currently the national animal of Peru.
Picked this Bolivia 2 reales 1830 piece this morning in Annapolis ran into one of CT other members and son at the show too !
From Stack's online October sale. Finally picked them up at the FUN show. Civil War dated Napoleon III France 100 Francs, very solid for the grade. The 1932-X Italy 100 Lire is a better date, the 1931-IX being much more available. Very tough to find the later dated 100 Lire coins without nasty spots, this one unusually nice for the issue.
wow! That France coin 1863-BB coins mintage is only 3,745. sweet coin. That Italy coin mintage is only 9,081. Values in my 2019 Krause catalog only go up to MS63-$2,700 so your coin is what $3,000+ ? sweet rare coin.
No frills photos of some new half-crowns. Both are better in hand with the George IV having an almost circulated cameo look. Needed a George IV Half Crown and still needed a William IV Half Crown, my first coin of this monarch.

Here's one that came today for my turtles collection. I purchased this on MA-shops, which has been much discussed on this site recently. I've never been able to find one on eBay.
Just came less than an hour ago. 1920 Tibet 5 skar, and a freebie 2009 Canada 25 cents, one year issue.
