Some more information on why you think it's struck on a different planchet would be very helpful. What does it weigh? Can you give us the diameter of the cent?

 

Looks normal to me. Whenever possible , please post photos of both sides, even if only one side is in question.

Edit : Actually the left side rim looks different (wider? thicker?) than the right side rim.

 

Hey Jerry, I just did some quick research to see if I could " name that error " but the name of that specific rim error is somewhat hard for me to pin down.
That could be a mis-aligned die error known as "tilting" or it could be an edge and rim error.

Other members with more knowledge will be able to put a name to it, and possibly a value.

Doesn't the rim look different, left side compared to right? Thicker or wider?
or is it just lighting and perspective?

 

Not an error for this one.... sorry, but too many cents of this era had small differences.

Why are we looking for perfection on something that is being minted by the thousands per minute for something designed with loose specifications to support quantity over quality?

Quality = Proof, Uncirculated collector packaged items (not something in circulation)
