Is This A Coin

    It looks quite ancient and genuine to me. Still There are only signs and geometrical figures on both obverse and reverse. The coin weighs 2.97 g. and measures 15 mm.

    Betcha TIF will have an idea for you. My still very uneducated guess says that it feels/tastes sort of Asian/Islamic? I look forward to reading what our experts have to say.

    Looks like a coin to me but what and where from I couldn't tell you. Kind of looks Egyptian to me and not because of the pyramids in the center.

    Could it be Hieratic from Sumer (Mesopotamia) or any script related to the Hieroglyphics.

    Anything Asian/Islamic/medieval is out of my league :(.

    It doesn't look like anything I've seen before, but that doesn't mean much in this case.

    hieratic was exclusively egyptian. the writing seems to be arabic
