what is it...what can I do?

    Looks like scratches to me. If that's the case then there's not much you can do...

    Pictures are pretty small. Can you post larger ones?

    Although, I agree with Bonedigger. They look like scratches.

    VEry hard to see, but might be the start of corrosion. Could you post larger pics like you did last time?

    I want to, but photobucket.com is down for maintenance right now. I will keep checking. It does appear to be corrosion. If so, what do you do?

    Not much, I'm afraid if it is. :( Can always send it in to NCS to be conserved. What date is is?

    Leadfoot there is no spoon

    The green areas look like PVC.
    They could be corrosion too, as you sometimes see this on nickel coinage.
    I'd try and dip it in (pure!) acetone first, before sending to NCS.
