    A french 50 centimes thats there looks like a silver, but the rest, pretty standard junk.

    Hmm, I see 8.52 in DEM coins ... that would be €4.36 if you took them to a Bundesbank branch office here in Germany. ;) And yes, that 50 centimes coin is a silver piece.

    Well, your French 50 Centimes coin is worth about $1.00 melt value, as it contains 2.5g of .835 purity Silver. I couldn't imagine it going for a whole lot more.

    Could you post clear pictures of the obverse and reverse of the French 50 centimes coin? What date is on it?

    There is about $6 in Canadian looneys and tooneys, If your in USA Tim Hortons coffee shops accept them.

    What's the date on the 6th coin in the top row (with indian)? Dominican Republic, I think.

    1985 Kennedy half, 50 cents.

    Bottom right corner, Franklin mint collector society medallion. These are usually sterling silver, sometimes gold plated as yours appears to be.

    Just type "currency conversion" into GOOGLE and you get a screen right there. If you don't know the coin ... just type in whatever it says on the coin and you can find out easily.
