Today, thanks to the generosity of ndgoflo (Terry), I received the last JFK half needed to complete my collection.

Catman was a great help in narrowing down the needed coins to just one, and then Terry supplied it.

Most of the coins were found in circulation, with the exception of some, such as the 1970D, which weren't minted for circulation.

ndgoflo and Catman made it possible for this collection to be completed, and I really appreciate their help. Next project will be Franklin Halves.

This is a great forum, made so by great people.

    :) :)

Congratulations Gary on the completion of our JFK set. Boy, it's nice to have good friends isn't it? They both deserve an At-a-boy! :D

That's awesome Gary! You'll have to post some pics.

    Glad you completed it!!!
I'm trying to get them all from the bank and I've even heard of a guy getting the 70D but then that's rare I'm sure.

Glad you're going with franklins....just don't get the proofs...leave them for me!!!!!!

Good job Gary! Nothing like a full album to cherish and hold!!! I have started my second set of Franklins in unc. and boy has things changed. Not available like they used to be and NOT as affordable as they were a few short years ago. My advice would be to get the "keys", if you would want to call them that, as soon as you can. Prices seem to be walking up hill very rapidly, if you know what I mean? Good luck!

Gary, as you already know, it was absolutely my pleasure

Old Dan, thank you! I think that is my first "Atta Boy!" :D

Speedy, I HAVE found a '70-D in circulation, along with two '87-D's. One of which Gary is the proud owner. ;)

Actually, it just gets me all soft and mushy giving back something to somebody for all of the information I have learned from everyone here. :)

Is nice to have people like ndgoflo around here :) I've been acquiring the "key" dates for the Kennedys before really attempting to finish it, but I would like to work on the Franklins better hehe! I like them both! lol :D

Aww shucks, stop it. You're embarrassing me!! I just try to return the same treatment as others here have treated me. And believe me, there are alot of others here that deserve standing ovations for going above and beyond the call. ;)

Way to go Gary! It's fun to finally fill all those holes. I'm about to complete my silver Maple Leaf album, all I need is an '05. That is, until they make an update page for next year and beyond....sigh.

Now that would be neat..maybe I'll find one yet--I've gotten about 5 silver halves but no 70-D (yet)!!!

What I do insted of buying the new pages I buy the newer coins in slabs...it saves the cost of the pages and it's also nice to have it in the slab.

Congratulations Gary! That is a set you will probably have a lot of good memories of and will look at it often. I sure do look at mine from time to time. Good luck on the Franklins and keep us posted as you find them.
I'm still working on mine, kinda taking my time.

Congrats Gary. It must be a great feeling to complete a set. I've been going to the bank every week or two and getting about $100 of half rolls. So far I am still missing 87D, 87P, 01P, 02P, and 03D. And the following are in bad shape and need updating badly, 92D, 90D, 93D 78D, 82P and 83D. However, in time, I know I'll finally get to where you are today, a complete set to pass on to my grandchildren (I hope).

    Congrats again
