Hello im new to all thia coin collecting but i know ive got some rare stuff tho such as 1917..'25.. '37...'41...etc...ive got three 70s pennies that are accidentally stamped on copper planchets...1940s nickels any suggestions?
I suggest you study up on what you actually have. None of that stuff sounds "rare". Step one: Old does not equal rare. If you have questions about individual coins, feel free to post some clear close up pictures here and we will gladly help you out.
Well they stopped making copper pennies in the late 50s or early 60s and i have three 70s pennies that are copper...the zinc pennies weigh 2.5 where thw copper pennies 3.1
in 1982 they transitioned over to the zinc core, copper plated cents. Everything before then were small copper rounds ...
how have you tested them for being zinc ? Circulation Wear can reduce weight. It's like if you go on a diet, you lose weight (hopefully).
The pennies...well from what everyones told me the zinc pennies weigh 2.5 and the copper pennies weigh 3.1
