    I purchased this piece of Currency today, i admit i don't collect allot of currency, so my grading skills may not be the best. The bill is crisp with a couple of fold marks, it is off center, but it looks good in my opinion. i paid $25.00 for it, The seller was firm on the price. The book says in vf it is $24.00 i am thinking it is maybe close to xf. What do you think?

    Hello Zapdbf,

    What you have is the following;

    10 cent fractional Fourth Issue FR 1257 variety# 410.1a

    John Allison at time signed his name in two ways, (Alleson) (Allison) he often dotted the "e" as well.
    I can see the folds on this note as well as the bottom margin being very short clipping into the design.
    I can also see what appears to be a minor stain on the upper right reverse. The note in my opinion is a VF

    Price you paid is ok...

    Hope you continue to collect the entire issue! Go for grades no less than AU
