    V. Kurt Bellman Yes, I'm blunt! Get over your "feeeeelings".

Did it really move out of Pasadena?

Yes. The venue (Scottish Rite Center) raised the fee too much is what I heard.

    Nice.

It was a really really small show, but I was able to pick up a couple of proof sets and an upgrade to my $1 28-S Peace Dollar. Sold a couple of extra Peace Dollars too.

Maybe a dozen dealers in a space that can hold several dozen. When this show was at the Scottish Rite Center in Pasadena it didn't seem to be that small of a show. But I think the new bigger space and fewer dealers (I guess not everyone made the move) made it seem really small.

A few of the U.S. coin dealers are really nice and fare. Several non-U.S. coin dealers and a couple of currency dealers as well. Quite diverse.

No supplies though which I was hoping for.

Thanks for the report. Sometimes the smaller shows are better. Was bullion selling well? What were the dates on the proof sets?

I did see a lot of bullion changing hands and lots of talk. Everyone had some form of an opinion on what gold and silver prices were going to do.

'69 and '71 proof set. I also wanted a '70 but no one had any. The '70 is the only one I am missing in my run from '68 to 2000 (from the beginning of the San Francisco era to the new century). Of that run I have actually only purchased 3 (the '68, '69, '71), all from coin shows. The rest were inherited/gifted.

Thanks for reminding me. I was going to do a trip report a la El Cheapo with pictures and witty narrative, but I was El Lazy-o.
