Look at the 4th overlay - isn't this the coin in question? Your image was taken at an angle to the coin - which does skew the perspective somewhat.
And so they are. I didn't look at the 1st image very close. In the 1st overlay - I assumed both images were of the same coin and just chose the image where the camera angle was squarest to the coin. The squarer the camera perspective to the coin the less skewing and distortion of the coin design in the image.
