I'm wondering why someone would crack all those out.
Sell the gold? Send back in looking for 70's?

Bad news - you have to be a PAYING member to see the certificate verification site.

Looks like everyone has a PREMIUM Service. It even costs to see if the NGC graded coin you bought is real... No Thanks ;) I'll just stay out of the fray and only offer moral guidance from the sideline...

But BD, you could be saving a ton of ink in those special grading pens! :)

...and those 'special' gift boxes...this could be a huge opportunity for BENT:D

That's the other services. PCGS will pay 50c per insert and ICG will give $1 credit for modern inserts and $2 credit for classic coin inserts. NGC & ANACS give nothing.

My money is on the probability that NGC will be the top bidder on this auction.

Why would NGC care? The inserts aren't of any real value.

I've got hundreds of NGC inserts for real coins, not glorified bullion and they won't buy these back from me.

It's not uncommon for the major companies to have large quantities of cracked out slabs and boxes. The empty packaging for moderns trades all of the time on the wholesale market.

I don't know why anyone would want a bunch of NGC slabs, since they don't pay the deposit returns on them like PCGS does.

Why would they crack a 69 holder. Were they sending them back in in hopes of 70's?

Whoa...now all the chinese counterfeiters need is the plastic and the hologram. They have the legit NGC labels and inserts now.
