Please see the first image for an example of the A/I mintmark. This is a French coin.

What do you think on this one? It is missing the bottom bar of the I. But looks to have something similar at top? 20190110_131837.jpg

    Thanks in advance.

Screenshot_20190110-135519_Chrome.jpg As you can see A or A/I are slightly different in terms of "value" in the lowest of grades.

The normal A is much more pointed also with larger triangle within the A itself. On the first example I presented the triangle is almost not visible. Like the coin in question.

What is your unbiased opinion? Screenshot_20190110-140520_Gallery.jpg
    Thanks.

Imagination is a great thing to have if you're creating comic strips.

A was the mintmark for Paris, correct? What city was the I the mint mark for?

Is that coin a French Franc or a French Indo China coin?

I'm curious because I collect both.

I believe that it is just an 'A'. Can I ask what coin this is? There aren't a large quantity of French Coins in very bad condition worth a whole lot, unless extremely rare.

Imagination also good for working out what the coin could possibly be............

I left that information out because you can count on one hand the types of coins with potential A/I.

Please use your imagination to work it out.
Because for my post this info is irrelevant.

    If i see a post
" possible french bronze with A/I"

If the question is put forward with imaginative wording I may respond.
To read the black and white creative thinking is not required.

I know the A mint on French coins but I don't think I've ever seen an I mint on one.
Could it stand for....Indianapolis ?? (edit : LOLOL)

I'm thinking a franc or a piastre. If it's a French Indo China 50 Centimes or 10 Centimes, could the I stand for Inchon?

Have you ever considered creative writing with an imagination like that you should.
