Looks like line across cheek, also I & L printed under nose, also some sort or numbering to the right of the head

Just circulation damage, with a touch of pareidolia.

    Pareidolia
Pareidolia is a psychological phenomenon involving a stimulus (an image or a sound) wherein the mind perceives a familiar pattern of something where none actually exists.

Guess it's a good thing the coin dealer I took it to doesn't agree with your outlook

What did your coin dealer tell you about your coin?

Did the dealer offer to buy the coin?

Because a coin is only worth what others would pay for it.

    well, that wasn't my point.

If the dealer offered to buy it, then I would suggest selling it, and fast, because it's just a normal circulation strike coin, not an error

As usual, ask the tough questions and the OP disappears.

I know that OP means the poster of the thread, but what does it stand for?

It's a dime. There's no error, and no dealer would make any kind of offer on this.
