I predict that there will be continued discussions (aka arguments) about the accuracy of the grading services.
Nice thread @CoinBlazer. I predict that by the end of next year we will all be another year older. I also predict that in the spring of 2019 a coin show will be held at Gettysburg. I believe this to be a first.
So far the 1823/2 is at $52,800, the 1827/3/2 original is at $384,000, and the 1827/3/2 restrike is at $120,000 (all include buyers premium). If the restrike picks up the pace, I’ll be 3 for 3 tonight!
- In 2019, an emergent collectable trait will become apparent to the U.S. collector community to be as important as the Quality trait and Rarity trait of a U.S. coin or U.S. medal. Those specimens that possess this emergent collectable trait will experience an increase in collector demand and market valuation. This emergent collectable trait also raises the level of distinction for the U.S. coin or U.S. medal that possess it from those without it. Not all U.S. coin types or U.S. medal types can possess this emergent collectable trait. This emergent collectable trait has been available since April 2, 1792. - I predict that most of you will not identify this emergent collectable trait and for those that can identify it, buy those specimens now (if you can find them)...
