You should pay attention to the Skirt Lines and the Hand, notice the full seperation between the thumb and hand..... Check the fields for dings, look for wear/rub on the high points of the devices....

Look for good strong Luster..... and strike... some of the above mentioned items will indicate a good strike, but look at the lettering of the coin. Is it mushy and soft, or are the letters very bold.....

I found this Raw GEM for $50.... Sent it today to PCGs....

Possible 7 huh  That's high praise coming from you :D

The coin is raw like yours. Only mine is not being submitted. I kinda figure yours has an excellent shot at 66 ;)

I don't see any distractions on your images.......
but, it is very diffulcult if not impossible to grade from a image....

though I still love to post images at various angles to give as good as a impression of the coin as I can...

To be honest - the coin is mark free. And as you can tell it has an excellent strike. The pics are accurate. It may have a shot at a 7 - wouldn't surprise me really. But I have little doubt it would get a 6 ;)

Well I would have to say that QueenKoin has a sweet coin. Have you checked for the latest variety on that 43?
GDJMSP, that is a great little coin also. I would say 65 based on the photo. If those marks between rays 4 through 6 are just in the photo, I would agree on a 66. The reverse is as flawless as I have seen. Especially for an "S" mint. Looks like the rim has some issues, but that may very well be the photo. So hard to grade this way.

With that kind of grade on a 42-S I would slab that beauty in a heart beat and send it to a Bowers Auction.

If that coin ever comes up for sale, please don't forget me :D

Queencoin: That looks like a near 67 if not a real 67. Congrats.

    here is a overdue update...

    PCGs graded this one ms66.......

I had it grading atleast that, but this coin would not look out of place in a MS67 holder, it is that nice......

PCGs tends to put pretty toners with strong luster in seven holders as opposed to brilliant white coins...

none-the-less, this one is a winner!
