Well Mountain man first let me say thank you for your service in the field you posted above. It takes a special individual not only to teach but to teach those with handicaps. As far as Mr. Catgoes, as well others here who come here to disrupt instead of add to a positive forum I just use the iggy button. I refuse to allow another to push my buttons by any behavior that disrupts the forum or could cause me to get the boot. My back ground is the food business over 50 years! Durring my tenure as such in the years I've had quite a bit of experence dealing with you name it. Every type of personality that walked though the front door. I've dealt with just about everything from armed robbery , shop lifters, child birth, heart attact, etc etc etc... when I log on here I log on to enjoy talking about coins. Not baby set some person who is 4 cookies short of a pound. I am very understanding of people with special needs....we had several working in our stores. But again when I was a store manager I was on point always.... always professional ...but again when I'm logged on here...I reserve the right to be able to enjoy my down time without dealing with a cat person. If this individual needs help I hope to god he gets it.... I am far from being cold hearted....but refuse to put up with an unacceptable behavior no matter whom it is. Again I do appreciate your view point as well years spent helping others who do need a helping hand...it truly takes a special person. Thank you!
What do you expect from a Mic from South Baltimore hon lol.... and we do have quite a few Polls in East Baltimore.... as well quite a few nationalities on that side of town...as if you're invited to play foot ball at Patterson Park ...you're playing soccer .
Luksusowa is my go to Polish potato vodka for my martini cravings. Of course, shaken not stirred. I also have olives stuffed with garlic and jallapeno peppers. One then uses the juice from the pepper variety to make the dirtyness come to life. Dobja. I so have a bronze piece of Janus Casimir somewhere in my "stash", Stash is also my middle name. I do love puns, please have mercy. And now, I'm done.
I am an ethnic Pole. Or rather, my father has Russians, and mother - the Polish roots. My grandfarher and grandmother (his sister) - Stanislav-Jeronim Kossakowski and Bronislava Kossakowska. The great-grandmother was a sniper and was at war against fascists.
Cool family photos and history, Siberian Man. This might be considered crass, but your great-grandmother is gorgeous in that photo. And it's awesome with the pile of medals on her jacket.
Coming from a man, yeah, could be 'crass'. But I have to agree with you. That woman is really a good looking gal.
The Warsaw pattern I find attractive but also a little strange. The city's CoA is already depicted on one side. It should (IMO) not have been repeated on the other side, covering parts of the eagle. Besides (and this affects the actually issued city anniversary coins too), why exactly was the 1265 date picked?
She comes from very old family of the Polish aristocrats. Our ancestors are mentioned in hronicles since the beginning of the 15th century. Ancestors of the great-grandmother are mentioned in Wikipedia. There is a version that the consul of the Roman Republic Marcus Valerius Messala Corvinus (31 B.C.) was our ancestor. But I am not sure that it is the truth.
I like the horse as well - I wish it was one of the cheap ones (and I'd keep it, like the Lynx!) haha
