Need help identifying Hammered coin copy

    Hello everyone, I am in need of a little help identifying a coin I dug this Sunday metal detecting. As one would think I got a heart attack when I first seen it! But it was a let down as it has "copy" on it. Not that this would be found here in the US at all. I was looking find out who made it and when.

    AFAIK there are many sources that make copies like that.

    Looks much like the cast Spanish Cob copies that are readily available from any coastal gift shop in my neck of the woods.... I too would have skipped a heartbeat if I had dug that.

    I think you are exactly right, the Boy Scouts have jamborees in this place. Probably one dropped it.

    Yes, the surface appears to be cast.
