Hey all i was just wondering if you think this was an extra #1 stamped off to side of planchet..thought it was a interesting find thanks and sorry for double pics
Heck of a place for a break haha, almost same size of other 1,but a little bit smaller.is this pretty common around date area like this one.
I wouldn't know. I have never had a blister on my foot nor any kind of blister. But I supposed it would. You can pop the Plating blister/bubble with a pointy object.
There seem to be a lot of chips, breaks or blisters on the reverse. Particularly above the letters in "STATE".
Agree plating blister, was my first thought...because there is no way it would come from die production, imo...Spark
I have a couple 'extra' number/letter seeming looking ones like yours. I've always attributed it to post mint or some other type of after mint impairment. Copper and zinc both can attain some oddities over the years in circulation.
Cool i really did not think it was possible for it to be printed there unless whole die was moved that far over which would cause a major dd if i am not mistaken, but it defently had me curios lol..i wont pop that blister just yet, i will just add it to my crazy collection haha..appricate all feeds from all
