I don't know if this is the right place to post this or not. My boss found a Euro in someone's change that neither of us has seen before. It's a 10 Euro cent dated 2002 and has a "F" mintmark, and it looks like some kind of gate or front of a building. The "gate" looks like it has four small horses on top of it. We get Euros in from time to time and usually I can identify them right away but this is a new one for us.

Can anyone recommend a good site with pictures of the different coins? I've tried searching for one on my own with no luck. All I can find is sites talking about the European Union, no coin pictures. Thanks!

    It sounds German.
Germany has five mints striking Euros so there are mintmarks A, D, F, G and J to look out for.

    Hi Kyra,
Joe tends to accumulate random Euros and I've found this site helpful when I come across something that I don't recognize.

Kyra, the gate that you are referring to is called the Brandenburg Gate.It is located in Berlin,& was formerly on the border between West Berlin & East Germany.

Thanks for the help everyone! I had a feeling it was German but I had only seen the oak leaf and eagle Euros. I bookmarked the sites you all recommended so the next "mystery Euro" won't be for long!

    Rachel,
He generally gets them from friends and family when they go on trips. Also my husband works internationally so anytime he or any of his employees take a trip somewhere they usually bring coins back for Joe. He's accumulated quite a variety just through the generosity and help of friends and family. THEN he started using his allowance at the local coin shows and his collection has grown rapidly ever since...only a few Euros, he mostly gravitates toward anything odd shaped, with holes, bi-metallic, etc.
Although lately he's been eyeing my Morgans and Walkers and has purchased a couple himself over the last couple of months. Yikes
Sure wish he'd stick strictly to world coinage...much more affordable :D

    Heh funny you say that.....
I stopped posting here and on the PCGs boards for alittle while because I was focused on my 2003 SRT race car project.

My street car Dodge now makes 481hp and 507ft torque, after much work, in particular, a huge turbo.....

The car runs high 11's and traps 124-125mph..

    I'll catch you...

Here is a image of it in the burnout box...

and here is a image of the time and trap, car is in the newstand lane:

Heh, and this little Neon isn't my fastest car...
